"At Line's End" ("Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End")

..... ... ... ... ... ... ...

As I shared in a previous entry, this was supposed to be the final entry in a three-part homage to "The Pirates Ride" trilogy started back in 2003 when Tony came up with an idea for "While You Were Waiting" (entry #33). Thirty-six months later, I was asked to continue his joke in "Three Years Later" (entry #75). And here we were - with aspirations to conclude the epic in grand fashion.
But the joke was on us. Not only did Disney go on to release more "Pirates" films and a spiritual spin-off with "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" but created their own genre of films based on the theme park rides in Disneyland and Walt Disney World. So no, this is not the end of Erik's torment at the happiest place on Earth. Not even close.
Aside from us ignoring Sean Connery's lesson to 'Never Say Never Again'. I only have a few other regrets. Logically I should have made the Cat Guy age the same as Erik and draw Crispie more decomposed by each passing cycle. But I liked the idea of Erik being the only one getting jipped by waiting. Also, I wish I could have conveyed the idea better when Crispie and Erik were first in line, they were standing at one end of the park with Epcot Center in the distance to the left. Somewhere they made a U-turn and the landmark is now to their right (ignoring the obvious fact the Magic Kingdom and Epcot are two theme parks miles away from each other). But other than an elaborate over-head aerial view, I don't see how it could have been done. - Jake
