"Three Years Later..." ("Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest")

When Tony had to drop out of doing a sequel to one of his favorite pictures of the gallery (episode # 33: "While You Were Waiting"), I thought I'd be only fitting to homage the work of the man himself. And if there was ever a movie more deserving of such an easy gag, it's this one. Just like 'the mouse' used to like churning out recycled junk of their previous work to DVD, so too did this website follow in those footsteps.
I guess the biggest thing to point out is this was the first time I actually drew my rendition of the Cat Guy: one of the characters Tony's created for the Plight universe. Before then my experiences consisted of tracing over existing illustrations or just solely inking them (yes, I understand to all Kevin Smith fans that the two are one and the same. Hardy-har-har.) Naturally I had a problem getting the hair right, but as you can see, I pulled it off after a dozen or so attempts.
And then there's the matter of the little girl. Now I'm sure there's a few individuals who will immediately point the perv finger at me. My fight to prove my innocence is an on-going battle and this certainly doesn't help my case. But considering this was the second part of a trilogy, it was essential to portray the girl a little more older and a lot more curvy. The bratty little girl who grew up to be a hottie. And if you study the picture a little more closely, you'll notice none of the other characters are paying any attention. Besides, I needed a counter-balance for drawing Erik so hideously disgusting. - Jake
