"Behind The Curtain" ("Charlie And The Chocolate Factory")
I had no idea what I was going to draw for this picture; even though I had signed up for it early on when Jake and I divided up the films we would cover. I think I volunteered for this due to the fact I have kids and they might rub off some of their childish delight on me. Well, that is all fine and good, but it still did not give me any creative ideas.
I pondered Erik and Willy Wonka going off on each other, mano-a-mano in a knockdown beat down fight. Then I thought of substituting Erik with Gene Wilder and having the two Willy Wonkas (the second being Johnny Depp of course) going at each other, with Erik watching. But other than holding a brawl, I just could not come up with any other thoughts. I was getting frustrated. I was at my wits end. Then I had a "You see Timmy..." moment and this picture is what came of it.
I would like to thank my vast movie knowledge for that nice bit of funny and throw down a challenge to anyone who can tell me what I am talking about! Also, if anyone makes any Dolly Madison jokes... double Plight-points for you! - Tony
