"Trick or Treat"

If you'd say this website has actual 'historical pieces' in it, then this certainly would count as one of them. Before Tony drew this picture, the character of Impetus (in this form at least) only existed as a gag on my "Here Comes... Plight" pin-up. And even then, Impetus was actually on fire. But something clicked in my young padawan's mind and he started digging the character more and more. So when it came around to doing a Halloween picture that year, he thought up drawing Impetus the way he'd look after he'd have been extinquished, albeit still smoltering. And it was such a twisted, black, sadistic idea that after this picture debuted, we found ourselves calling it another name that Tony nicknamed him: Crispie.
Ever since then, especially in Tony's entries the Summer Blockbuster Galleries, Crispie has made several guest appearances. And each time, he seems to gain a little more of a personality, even though for the most part he's just shown standing still. So really while I created Impetus in the beginning, it's more fair to say both Tony and I have created what he becomes. He's no longer become just my character anymore. He's turned into a joint property.
My only complaint with this picture? While I'm happy as a daisy he chose to put Erik in his REAL costume, and I guess I can say his revising Crispie was a change for the better, I wish he'd stop trying to change the design of my characters! For God's Sake... why draw Daryl with a flaming hairy chest? He wears a T-shirt! A T-SHIRT!! He just had to draw a quarter circle going from one point of his jacket to the other and voila - there's a t-shirt! But no, he's got to gross us out because if they ever make a movie, we could get Robin Williams to light his hair on fire! Tell you what, why don't I draw Frump with huge man boobs? *lol*
I'm kidding of course. I'm really not upset about it. Still, it does look like his chest hairs are on fire. Actually it looks like Scott Bakula as Daryl with his chest hairs on fire. Now if that doesn't make you sick, nothing will! - Jake
