"Once Upon Some Dreft" ("Maleficent")

What! It's based on a Disney movie. Disney has objects come to life all the time. They sing, they give advice, they introduce every Pixar film... that's their shtick. Maleficent might have been responsible for casting the spell on Aurora, but what was the last thing she came into contact with before her long slumber? That's right. Her pillow! Guilt by association.
All joking aside, this was a tough one. I knew how I wanted the dialogue to go but had no clue about anything else. What started off in a forest, developed into a scene at summer camp, until finally ending up in Kari's bedroom. Kari was originally wearing pajamas, then a camp uniform, until winding up in Aurora's casual dress. The evil pillow? It originally had a pattern of golden spools of thread until I realized that's more 'Rumpelstiltskin' than 'Sleeping Beauty'. Even the framed picture you can barely see in the background went through several revisions until ending up a tour poster for the band "Sleeping with Sirens" (get it?)
What I'm trying to say is I had a severe case of OCD with this illustration which took almost a month to complete. Granted, I like it. I think the piece came out pretty good for a corny pun. But I should have had it finished much sooner. That's my only regret. - Jake
