"Twist to Remove Cap" ("Red Eye")

Ink Smudges: I have no idea what happened. For a solid three hours I was just in the zone. The inks came out far better than we could have hoped, I enhanced every inch of Jake's original art, the coloring was a breeze, and ideas just came freely to mind as if my hands were possessed. It appeared as if I could do no wrong. In short, this picture just plain kicks ass. - Tony

Pencil Marks: This is the e-mail I received from Tony a few days before this picture was posted:

I just finished inking this picture for Red Eye... and I felt the need to contact you to tell you one simple thing.... I KICKED YOUR ASS!!!!!!!!!
There is absolutely no way in all of Heaven or Hell that you could possibly top this job. You are going to take one look at this thing and just sit there, shocked that anything you drew could have possibly turned out this ***-damned good. This isn't me choking my own chain, this is simply the ****s honest truth.
If this were the final picture for the gallery we would be going out on Triple AAA material.... f*****g PROFESSIONAL artist material. No ***t. No shinola.
Okay. Now I've got to complete my masterpiece and get to inking it... and when you see THAT you will officially bow down to me as your new god and savior.
Bet on it.

Really folks, why even bother with a rambling when Tony put it so eloquently himself? Although I would like to add I enjoy seeing how he turned a freak three-way love-child of the "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" logo, Mike from "Monsters Inc." and Kronos from "The Simpsons" by morphing it into a Big Daddy Roth illustration. So yes, I admit, this picture was ***-damned good. - Jake
