"Marco!" ("Finding Nemo")

When I did this picture, it wasn't meant to be used in the gallery. It wasn't meant to have any connection to "Finding Nemo". It wasn't even meant to be posted. This was merely a sketch I did at Tony's house one Saturday while the two of us and Katie were drawing at their kitchen table. But while I looked at it, the more I felt it deserved to be polished. And considering "Nemo" was about life under the sea and I had yet to see the film, I figured what did I have to lose. So, if you're going to tell me I didn't put any thought into this, I completely agree with you. I didn't and I'm sorry.
However, I did put a little more effort into the coloring. You might notice the piece is unusually blurry. That's because I experimented with a Sympion device. For those who don't recall, a Sympion was a machine resembling a 'light table' you connected to your computer which printed the document and the color onto your original document with a laser. Its most widely public use was at Hallmark shops where you could custom design your own greeting cards at a machine. As you can see, the technique does not age well just like the invention which had a short lifespan before being labeled a failure.
Looking back, I wouldn't say this picture is good. Honestly, it's crap. One could even make a valid argument this is the worst entry in the PSBG. But it was an experiment and I at least stand by that. - Jake
