"Egyptian Sacrifice" ("The Mummy Returns")

For our debut picture in the Plight Summer Blockbuster Gallery (or PSBG for short), Tony and I had a difficult decision to make. Do we kick things off with the romantic comedy "Bridget Jones Diary", the continuing saga of Ash Ketchum's journey in "Pokemon 3: Spell of the Unown" or would we throw caution in the wind and christen our little artistic experiment with "The Mummy Returns"?
Just kidding. There was no way we weren't going to start this party off without Brendan Fraser.
There's not much I can say about "Egyptian Sacrifice" other than how wet behind the ears we were artistically. When the two of us began the gallery, I stopped using ballpoint pens to ink and switched over to micron felt tips. Tony wanted to understand the ins and out of Photoshop and haphazardly experimented with the program's various effects. Neither of us grasped the concept of proper shading and, as you can see, were clueless about levels and contrast. An eye sore? Yeah. Guilty as charged.
Nevertheless, this was the first in a series which would wind up spanning over the next two decades. That alone, as well as sentimental reasons, makes "Egyptian Sacrifice" one of our most memorable. - Jake
