"Monsters Inc. and Toy Story Sketch"

It seems every week I visit the Larson household; Kaitlin always has a few dozen or so drawings to show me. She knows I'm a sucker when it comes to seeing her latest creations and it's rare when I'm able to walk out the door without a drawing or two she's given me as a gift (my kitchen table is slowly becoming an archive to this talented child.) So when she asked me to draw her a picture of Mike and Sully from Monsters Inc, I was more than happy to oblige. That night I sat down determined to not only do a good job, but make it LOOK like Mike and Sully. This was around 9 PM. It took more than a few tries but I finally did a version I was pleased with. By that time it was about 10:30 PM. I could have quit right there since I did exactly what she asked for, but I was so high on artistic juices that once I finished with the monsters, I decided to draw Buzz and Woody from Toy Story. When I was finished, the clock read 2 AM and I had to be at work in 4 hours. But it doesn't matter how much time I put into it or what Katie did with the drawing after I gave it to her. What matters is she liked it and that's all I could hope for.
