"Z" is an inspiring artist from Las Vegas who studies many types of anime and manga influences; his favorites being "Death Note" and "Dragonball Z Kai". Steeped in the culture, there's not a property around he's not at least familiar with; something I'm amazed and impressed by. And it doesn't end there. He's also an old school videogame player who has burned out a countless number of consoles throughout his decades of playing fighting games; including many imported titles rarely seen in the states. Honestly, I pity the poor soul who comes across him in an online match.
So it's no surprise with such a great affection for properties originating from the East that his work would contain a similar flair; this illustration of Kari being a perfect example. It's very "Dragonball-esque" and I personally think that works to its advantage. I especially like the confident and strong, yet a little bit sexy, pose he gave her. And while I supplied the final colors to it, I was working off Z's original color scheme.. - Jake
