Hey there!
Welcome to Anthony Larson's Generic Funkin' Cartoon page. As you can see we're still currently under heavy construction here. With the help of some websites such as the Virtual Underground, the Wayback machine, Gamespot, MySpace, the now defunct Geocities website, and other places in cyberspace I'm attempting to get a complete collection of all of Tony's GFC artwork and ramblings into one place. Honestly I had no idea what a massive undertaking this would be but I'm confident we'll soon have it entirely up and running. In the meantime please feel free to check back here often to keep an eye on my progress. Thanks! - Jake

Just a quick update today, nothing much important going on.
Has anyone seen all the nominees for Best Picture at this years Academy Awards? Has anyone even seen ONE of them? Yeah, they really chose some stinkers this year and I'm not even going to get into the whole gay cowboy flick. Trust me, I hear enough about it from a friend of mine. Enough.
Anyhow we're back and we brought cookies! Okay, not really cookies but something even better! How about a new entry in our popular GFC Strip series? Yeah, forgot all about those cookies now haven't you?
Take a look, enjoy yourself, and we'll be back in a couple weeks with the next one. See ya then! - Tony

Sorry that updates have been so sporadic around here, but with the holidays and my acquisition of an Xbox360, well let's just say I haven't had too much spare time. Fortunately I have recently made a deal that should keep the Empire out of here forever... er what I mean is that I've sat down and made a schedule for myself that puts priority on this page, and the comic itself. Basically that means that you'll be seeing updates more often around here.
And to start it all off on the right foot, how about something that everyone has been asking for???? Namely GFC The Strip #2! When I started the strip in October, I had a whole run planned. In fact I even had four strips written before I even drew the first one. Well time passes and that plan has been scrapped. Instead I've got a whole new storyline plotted out; one that should be pretty enjoyable to a few people I know (yes, I am paying fan service to my oldest fans, sue me.)
The good news is that strip #1 stands on its own pretty well without being out of place. I may eventually get back to doing those other three I had written, but don't look for that for a long time. I'm also not setting a release date for the next strip. Just know that it is coming sooner, rather than later. Enjoy! - Tony

The end of the year is approaching pretty quickly. Have you made your New Years resolutions yet? Have you broken them yet?
A popular thing this time of year is making "best of" lists. Best Movie of the year, Best Album, Best Videogame, Best Sexual Position. Well Jake and I made a pact a couple years ago that we're going to avoid that sort of thing around here. I mean if you want lists, watch VH1, it seems that's all they play (whatever happened to these music channels actually playing music?)
If you know us, then you know what we liked this year. And since lists are 100% opinion based, why would any of you care? Frankly when people start realizing that all these awards and reviews are merely peoples opinions, then we'll see a serious decline of this crap in the world. Gee, that sounds kinda funny from a guy who ran a film review website for 7 years huh? Simple. Because I have an update which, let's see, last update was in..... October. Hmm. Yeah. That's pretty much my schedule around here. I should know better than to commit to a project towards the end of the year. What with all these new video games, my writing, and a new job, I just haven't been able to find the time to sit down and draw. Until today.
What I've come up with isn't quite the newest "strip" comic, but you can see that it is a pretty timely picture. Take a gander at "Holiday Cheer"; another brand spanking new GFC pinup! Sure these pics are coming slowly but considering there was a lapse of about 8 years in between the last GFC pic I did and starting this page, you could probably say a couple months is cake.
Have a good holiday season, and unless something amazing comes up, we'll see you next year! - Tony

Welcome to the new Generic Funkin Cartoons homepage. As you can see we've got a new look, and hopefully a new commitment to keeping this page fresh and updated somewhat regularly.
When we debuted the new look for Crimsonpug Publications a little over a year ago, the GFC page always stood out as a complete eyesore to me. The pages were plain and the backgrounds were horrid. Well it may not look like the Taj Mahal now, but you've got to admit that it is an improvement. And like all improvements it is an ongoing thing, so don't be surprised if more changes keep popping up from time to time.
So besides the new look, what else is new you ask?
Well for one thing we've finally gotten all of Jake's previous pinups back from when we lost them at Geocities. You can check them out here, here, and here. Sure they're older drawings but its nice to have some diversity on the site again.
Okay.. Now I hear you really complaining. "Gee Tony, a new look and a bunch of old pictures. Whats the big deal?" Hmm... let me think. What else do I have???
Oh yeah!
How about a brand spanking new, first one in over a decade.... COMIC STRIP!!!!!! That's right, I've gotten back to illustrating my most famous creations and you the reader are the ones who get to benefit from my new found motivation! Click this link here to see the first of hopefully many GFC comic strips. My plans for this is to debut a new strip at least once a month, but don't be totally surprised if there are more frequent updates than that.
So that's it. We're back on track here with GFC, with new pin-ups, comic strips and maybe more heading down the pipes in the future. Thanks for visiting and keep checking back! - Tony
