"Plight Versus Biggun"
As you skim through some of Tony's pictures, you'll see he's come up several interesting characters that he's created on the fly. This one, featuring the first and only appearance of Biggun, is one of those pics. But what I find so interesting years later is how a concept he came up with (a guy with really big hands) was later used by another property; namely by director Kevin Smith.
Both Tony and I are huge fans of Mr. Smith's work. In fact in 2001, we had the unique opportunity to attend the world premiere of "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" with both Mr. Smith and his partner Jason Mewes in attendance. Now what's funny about this scenerio is that in the movie, Jay and Silent Bob (in their alter-egos Bluntman and Chronic) battle a supervillain named CockKnocker who also happens to have really big hands. Yeah, I realize the whole 'big hand' thing isn't the most unique idea ever created, but I still find it funny how things played out the way they did. Interesting side-note to this little tale: CockKnocker was portrayed by Mark (Luke Skywalker) Hamill. So when you take into account what a big fan of Star Wars Tony is... well, it's just funny that's all. - Jake
