"Deja Freakin' Vu"
The picture you see above is a quick twenty minute sketch that I drew to get myself back in the drawing game. Ever since the last Summer Blockbuster Gallery ended last August (it is currently March of the following year), I took a hiatus of sorts away from actually penning my own drawings. Mostly I've been inking and coloring the Sofa Kingdom series, but as far as my own art goes, there has been a definite dry spell.
The picture above is an homage of sorts to one of my own earlier pictures (posted in the comic section under "Yin Vs. Plight"). In that picture I had the character of Yin facing off against the evil robot monster named Q-9. For this sketch I just wanted to retouch on Q-9, sort of test the waters to see if I could still draw, and then as an after thought I added Plight. As you can see it is a very rough ink drawing, but I thought it was up-to-par enough to post here to prove that I still have some drawing left in me. Besides this years Blockbuster Gallery is fast approaching, and I've got to get that engine running again. - Tony
