"Robot Ruckus"
There's been a few times I've been able to surprise Tony in here, but not as well as the day I posted this picture.
I have a lot of stuff in my collection from practically every artist appearing on this website that's never been posted for one reason of another. Some are really great pieces that if certain things were different, I'd proudly show them off to the world. Others are, for loss of better words, meek or subpar that it wouldn't be worth it to use up all the space. But every so often I'll find that diamond in the rough that has me scratching my head and asking "Why isn't THIS posted?". That was the case for 'Robot Ruckus'.
Tony had pencilled it back when we were doing the old "Yin Vs Plight" comic, but never took it any further because he felt the robot on the left didn't look right. So somehow I had gotten my hands on it and it was filed away until years later when I was doing some spring cleaning. And really, I didn't have a problem with the robot on the left so I went ahead and finished it up.
Oh, I can remember the moment afterwards. A few days later I was at Tony's house and he was chewing me out for not having a new update (something he still does frequently). And I just calming turned to him and asked how he could say that when there was an update in HIS gallery? Of course he didn't believe me at first, but when I convinced him to check it out, the guy was in complete shock. He had no recollection of ever drawing that picture. To him it was totally brand new. - Jake
