"Adventures Abound" ("Toy Story 3")

Sometimes I have a really bad habit of being a perfectionist; which is odd because even my best work has noticable flaws. I often spend more hours on a particular minor thing, like the straightness of a line or using just the right color on an object. It's nitpicking and most of the time it doesn't even matter since everything will be shrunken down to screen size anyhow.
Take for example this pin-up. Notice the small writing on the Mummy "Plez" dispenser? It's barely readable. The lumpy texture on the Crispie sock monkey? The glossy saliva covered fangs on the Eye Monster Madball? If you don't, I can't blame you. Those are just a few things I toiled on to do that now are practically impossible to distinguish. Had I gotten over my tick of wanting it to be "just right", I know this gallery entry wouldn't have taken four months to complete.
However I can't be so hard on myself. It still came out pretty good and I was able to incorporate a lot of the cast of characters into it (a few like Biggun and Tony's alternate costume for Erik I drew for the first time.) I just wish I could have been satisfied enough to just set this down and move on to the next picture much sooner. - Jake
