"VFM: Virtual Feminine Mission" ("Stealth")
Pencil Marks: The concept this time was really simple. In fact when the idea came to me a week prior while sitting in a movie theater, I was kind of dumbstruck that I hadn't thought of it before. The name of the film is "Stealth" and one of my favorite types of videogames is in a genre called "stealth", so put two and two together and you get this picture.
Eagle-eyed viewers can see that I chose the genre's forebearer, Solid Snake as inspiration, placing our hero in his clothes so to speak. Then of course I took a little "real-life" inspiration for the rest, and viola! Picture done.
One of my final words to Jake before he set out to ink and color this one was "Make it your own". Every time I handed him a picture to finish he always did an admirable job inking them, but he never really added any of himself to the picture. So this time I gave him the specific task of injecting a bit of "Jake's personality" which it appears he took to the job; totally re-arranging and in many instances completely changing the picture. Kudos to a job well done, pal. But a real sarcastic "thanks for raising the bar" as well because I had to top that! - Tony
Ink Smudges: I'm going to refrain from complaining because the experiences I had to get this picture done were things I'd just soon forget. In fact, I don't even remember what I was going to talk about - that's how much I'd rather erase it from my mind for all eternity. Needless to say though, I worked my tail off (you hear me, Tony?!!) So really, after all was said and done, I was just glad it got finished.
Before we move to the next picture, I'd like to dedicate this to Tony's better half. While she served as the inspiration for this picture, it's was all out of respect and admiration. The truth is she makes going shopping fun; even if Tony makes it a hobby to complain about it. Plus anyone who can put up with me coming over all the time has the patience of a saint. So yeah, I'm really grateful for having a friend like her. - Jake
