"My Little Pony - OF DEATH!" ("Kingdom Of Heaven")

Tony's gonna complain. I just know it. But when it came to ideas, I was practically running on empty. I mean, what makes "Kingdom of Heaven" so different than, say, "Troy", "Alexander" and any of the other boring 'historical' motion pictures of the last year? Granted, "Alexander" had Angelina Jolie (mmmmm... Angelina), but unfortunately that didn't come out during the summer. So I had to weigh in what I already knew: Orlando Bloom in a serious 'we want an Oscar' movie about the crusades. Talk about a yawner. So basically even before I started, I knew was screwed. And when all was said and done, all I had to show for it was a drawing of Erik on a horse. What makes it even worse is knowing all the crap I've been giving Tony about his drawings, I was pretty sure I was asking for a beating. Yeah... this isn't going to be pretty, people. He's gonna bitch.

Now in the past I've been accused of giving Jake simplistic drawings for him to complete. In fact it was his number one complaint about the Hitchhikers Guide picture. "Where's the background?" "Would it kill you to add a bit more detail?" That was pretty much what I was hearing from my old friend. So you could say that it gave me a twisted sort of satisfaction when he handed me his finished pencils for this picture. Just Erik and a horse. Nothing else. Perfect.
Then he had the audacity to actually draw chain-mail on him. Chain-mail. Does anyone realize how difficult it is to ink over chain-mail??? Each individual link? And it wasn't until I had proclaimed this pic finished that I realized I never actually colored them. But that is okay, it works out for the best.
I do have to admit that it isn't my best work, and for this gallery it really is one of the more generic pictures we've posted. But you try to think of something that could go along with "Kingdom Of Heaven".... and if I get any more Legolas suggestions I am seriously changing my email address. - Tony
