"Strike A Pose" ("The Matrix Reloaded")

I decided to take a more serious role in these Summer Blockbuster Gallery pictures this year. Jake mentioned in the rambling for our pic for "Signs" that he has a hard time getting me to actually pencil a piece and then ink it. That of course is the traditional way of doing art in the comic world. I on the other hand would usually just take out a pen and just draw. That was fine and dandy, but I must admit it made ALOT of my pictures seem rushed and more "sketches" than final pieces of art. Jake's drawings in comparison looked highly professional. So I made myself a sort of pact with this picture that I would do it all correctly. Pencil the drawing, ink the drawing, color the drawing. And the results became some of my best art.
For this picture from "The Matrix" I took Eric and put him into the classic Neo pose. Even though the pose is something from the films, the rest of the character is all Plight, with the exception of the guns of course.
I am overall pleased with this drawing. Though I do notice that parts of his body are out of proportion to others. A rookie mistake, though not quite as bad as I've done in the past. Still it's a pretty good effort and much better than anything I did before. - Tony
