"Play Day" ("Daddy Day Care")

I'm sure a lot of people out there can relate. You know a little child around the age of 4 and 7. Now you can be their relative, friend, it doesn't matter; this child loves to spend time with you. And chances are, you don't mind spending time with them either. So you decide that maybe the two of you can do something; be it visit the park, or see a movie, or something enjoyable. So you think you're oh so nice when you recommend an activity. Besides, it'll be fun to get out of the house.
But you see, rule #1 is: never, ever, give them an opening!
The second you offer an idea, it's over. I mean, you didn't even have a chance because in that short amount of time you allowed the child to give you an answer, they weren't thinking 'yes' or 'no'. They already knew their answer, you dope. They were far beyond that. No, what they did in that time is plan out how the two of you would be spending your ENTIRE day! And rarely does it ever come cheap. Yeah, we're fools. Eventually they win. They always seem to win. But it's hard to put up much of a fight when they're just so fun to hang around with. - Jake
