"Scary Movies"


Back in 2001 I was still getting a grip on how to post artwork online. I was experimenting on what size I should scan things in, what pens pick up well in Photoshop, what format shows up the best on a computer monitor... dozens of little things that made all the difference in the world. So it came as no surprise when over six years later, when I was asked to use a piece of my old artwork for an anthology, the file was crummy.

I admit I was a little hesitant to redo the page at first. If there's one thing I get critized a lot it's that I keep trying to improve on stuff I've already finished. But this felt like a special case. So regardless of what I knew I'd be hearing, I went ahead anyway and revised it both in art and in dialogue. The end result is something I'm very pleased with.
As for the anthology, after a year of it being worked on the heads of the project decided to scrap it. - Jake
