"Dawn of the Living Dread"

For some reason I've been blessed to work at jobs that sometimes have slow periods. Sure, that doesn't seem too out of the ordinary, but we're talking slow enough to last entire shifts! And to make the irony stretch even further, it's always with employees who are interested in illustrating. A "Oh hey, you draw comic books? Me too!" sort of thing.
Anyhow, this page came about when one my co-workers named Mesa challenged me to draw a comic page based on the theme of a 'virus'. I had only one hour to do as much as I could, including dialogue. And you know what? I managed to get all the pencils and words done in just under an hour. That's right, folks - I'm not completely worthless after all! *lol* Now I admit it's a direct rip-off/parody of the "Dawn of the Dead" remake and not the most cerebral piece of fiction, but it was only meant to be an exercise. Nothing more.
That is until Tony presented me with the perfect opportunity.
It seemed like every time I went over to the guy's house he'd ask me if I had any new comic pages for him to ink. And while I did have some stuff done, I always managed to forget them. So when he asked for the hundredth time and I actually HAD something for him, my little experiment turned out to become something more. - Jake
